About Bill
Bill McCabe grew up working in the family
business selling boats. Naturally, he had
always assumed that he would follow in his
Grandfather’s footsteps and take over the
business one day. All that changed when he
tried his hand as a REALTOR®. “Acouple of
my customers were in Real Estate and thought I was a natural.
I needed some extra money, so I got my license in 1985 and
ended up doing really well. In fact, I loved it so much that I
left themarine industry and pursued a career as a REALTOR®.
That was almost 30 years ago, and I’ve never looked back.”
McCabe started working as a Sales Associate with Century 21
and became an active member in the local, state and national
Associations of REALTORS®. Eventually, he served as
Charter President of the Greater Northwest Indiana
Association of REALTORS®. “That was a really great
education for me. I was able to see a lot of different business
models which gave me real insight into what worked when it
came to maximizing an agent’s success.” McCabe quickly
became one of Century 21’s top producing agents and was
honored to represent the company in three of theirNational TV
commercials filmed in Hollywood. In 1994, he was named
Century 21’s Top Agent in the World. Shortly after that, he
was named Indiana’s REALTOR® of the Year, which meant a
lot to him because his peers nominated him for the award.
In 1995, McCabe opened his own company, Century 21
Executive Realty. “I had to make a decision about going
independent or going with a franchis
