I really can't recommend Billy Brand highly enough. He is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and PATIENT. My partner and I were buying our first house together, and we were...particular...about our desires. Billy probably looked at close to 30 houses with us over two months, and never once made us feel bad about how much of his time we were taking. When you walk through a house with Billy, he will help you understand EVERY aspect of that house. Over time he came to be able to intuit what we were thinking and predict our needs. If this is your first home-buying experience, Billy is a great realtor for you. He will make sure you understand everything, and you'll have fun doing it.

Also, as a gay couple we had some trepidation about entering into a home-buying process. Billy made us feel so safe and supported. I know that was something that I researched when seeking a realtor, and didn't see a ton of reviews highlighting that in this area, so know fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community that Billy is a great ally if you're looking for a realtor.

And as a final note (sorry...I'm longwinded), I have two former or current realtors in my family. My mother sold houses decades ago, but my sister-in-law sells real estate in Southern California. Every time I would talk to either of them about things Billy was doing, their immediate response was, "Wow. He's good." And he is.

Six months we fought the market...cash offers, 40% over list price offers. We made 9 exceptional yet rejected offers. Only one man could achieve the impossible; getting me into a beautiful little home in this insane market. That man is Billy Brand!
Billy stood by me everyday, every week, every month. Showing after showing after wretched showing. Billy helped me steer clear of money pits and educated me on facts and features that I'd never considered in previous home purchases.
At least 4 times he came to me with unique opportunities suited perfectly to my wants and needs. Finally one of them was just right.
Even after achieving the elusive "Accepted Offer" he was prompt and punctual on next steps and followed up daily to ensure a quick, seamless transaction.
Post-transaction he has continued to be helpful and supportive. He gifts every buyer with a very thoughtful product or service to fit their situation. Mine was perfect and greatly appreciated.

Timing is everything, and when we were ready to look for a house we needed to execute quickly. Also, we didn't really know what we were doing! Enter Billy Brand. Billy is more on top of his business, with better communication cycles, than many professionals. Plus, he has developed a short meeting plan during which he'll teach you things about home buying that you did not know, regardless of how much you already know (ask about his capped-cost home inspection/repair invention). My siblings and I worked with Billy Brand to sell our deceased mother’s historic house with 4-5 apartments. This was new territory for him (and for us) He was not used to dealing with a commercial property but he worked tirelessly to sell our property. We were complicated as we are 3 adults, living thousands of miles apart. There were time changes to deal with and sometimes it took a minute to all get on the same page. We were able to do conference calls with him and he was patient with the challenges of dealing with 3 related sellers but each with their own opinions and he kept positive. He worked hard so as not to disrupt the tenants’ lives as much as possible. He kept the showings down by requiring proof of ability to purchase the property. We received texts with showing confirmations & cancellations. Also feedback from the showings.

We received multiple offers in a week. Discussed them all. Signed a contract, all completed digitally since 2/3 of us weren’t local. He kept us informed of appraisals and the process. Unfortunately, the sale fell thru, ultimately due to the lender, and although it was frustrating, Billy kept optimistic.

We received multiple offers again within a week. Contract signed, quick sale this time with motivated buyers.

Closed approximately 10 days earlier than originally proposed but that was definitely ok with us.

We have no plans to buy or sell in the near future but when we do, he will be my first (and hopefully, only) phone call.

My spouse & I have selected Billy as our realtor twice in the past 5 years. We purchased our first starter home back in 2019 and just closed on our second home this week. We had a wonderful experience with Billy the first time around and it was a no-brainer to reach out again to have his help, passion, and expertise in finding and securing our new home.

In our opinion, these are Billy's best characteristics:
1. Committed - Billy is invested in his clients -- he will do whatever he can to make your process simple and successful. He is on top of tasks and keeps in touch.
2. Thorough - Billy knows his stuff-- about Lafayette, about home construction, and about the home buying and selling process. He is intentional about taking time to explain processes and talk through pros and cons.
3. Personable - Billy is honestly a great guy. He's easy to talk to; he makes us comfortable (as queer folks in Indiana, it's not always easy to find that!); and you can tell how much he cares. We've seen him talk with loan agents, other realtors, sellers, title companies, and he's always well received due to his easy going and eager personality.

We would absolutely work with Billy again and will refer anyone in the area we know to him.

Billy Brand is a client-oriented, responsive, and experienced realtor. When asking friends, colleagues, and businesses in town about realtors - Billy’s name kept getting recommended. First, Billy gave us a market analysis and realistic expectations of the current housing market in the area. Second, as first time home buyers he walked us through what the process would look like and the paperwork we sign. This in turn made offers and closing less stressful when it came down to crunch time. Third, Billy did walkthroughs through the lens of our needs. He pointed out issues like concrete settlement, moisture issues, multiple layers of shingles and other problematic high cost problems that would affect us later down the road with this long term investment. Lastly, Billy was patient and worked with us through our purchasing timeline. There was never a time we felt pressured to purchase or put a bid on a house. He genuinely was looking out for our best interests . Billy would give his honest expert opinion and let us know if there was a time crunch on a competitive property.
In short, we recommend Billy Brand to anyone and there was a reason everyone recommended him to us.

Cannot give Billy Brand enough praise for his work! He goes above and beyond as a realtor. He kept me apprised at every step in my home purchase process, updating me when actions were required (nudging me when I dragged my feet) and provided information that new home owners sometimes don't know they need (including utilities contact information, insurance requirements, contact info for necessary services, etc.). He was responsive to my needs and looked out for my best interests when the original plans were disrupted. He acted with alacrity and composure and coordinated with the sellers in a deal that worked great for all parties involved. Would give him 6 stars out of 5 if possible.

Billy helped me purchase my first house almost two years ago, and (as of about 8 hours ago) helped me sell it!

He coached me through a bittersweet decision, due to a work-related move out of Lafayette, to sell the house he helped me purchase that i loved so so much.

He helped me understand the entire process, just as he did when I bought the house, and was optimistic but incredibly realistic in setting my expectations. They were exceeded, far and beyond what i could have imagined, thanks to his work ethic, professionalism and top-notch market navigation and negotiation.

Billy did an initial market analysis of my property, put together preliminary figures, made sure I was comfortable with them, and then fought for me to help exceed those initial numbers.

I can’t even begin to list the amount of things Billy went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help with. Be it coordinating date changes, navigating unique buyer circumstances, accommodating my insane work schedule and re-location to Indianapolis, helping CLEAN MY YARD after an unexpected wind storm pre-close (thanks again for that, haha) You name it.

He is a dedicated and intensely professional real estate broker. He was personable and accommodating, all while being prompt, solution-oriented and knowledgeable.

He sold my house and put me in a positive financial situation I could not have imagined, especially having only owned it for 18/20 months.

Billy, thank you for all of your help navigating these extraordinarily unique sale circumstances. Will continue to recommend him to anyone I can, and I look forward to my next purchase (hopefully in the next year or two) knowing i’ll be working with Billy.

I am so grateful for Billy! This was my first time buying a home and he made the process as easy and stress-free as possible, despite a crazy market! He was always readily available and responsive, and quick to answer my questions. It was such an asset to have him while walking through potential houses, especially when I didn't really know what to look out for! Billy Brand has over twenty years in hospitality and it shows in his work. On day one he breaks down how real estate works, what services he can or cannot provide, and how to find your ideal house. He has a customer-centric approach which, as a first-time home buyer, was exactly what I was looking for. I asked lot of questions and he provided lots of helpful answers. He was also honest when he did not have an answer. However, I never needed to figure out the problem on my own because within a day or two I would receive a phone call from Billy with the information I was looking for. As a first-time, single home buyer, I was incredibly intimidated by the home buying process going in. However, Billy made everything digestible and transparent.

He walked me through each step, providing resources and assistance from pre-qualification all the way through (and beyond) closing. He definitely had my best interest in mind from the beginning and really considered my personal taste, budget and potential resale value throughout the process.

Could not recommend him enough! Coming from someone who really didn’t understand anything about it initially, I feel knowledgeable about the home buying process and prepared for home ownership now. Billy is also super funny and personable, which made everything so much more enjoyable.
