About Billy

Billy is a founder and partner of Cheaha Realty Services, LLC and is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Alabama and a member of the National Association of Realtors in good standing.

Billy is a native Alabamian and has lived and worked in Clay County, Alabama his entire life. He and his wife Debra live on a cattle farm north of Lineville and they have two grown children and one grandson.

He joined Emerald Realty in 2007 and was a consistent multi-million dollar annual sales agent specializing in Lake Wedowee lakefront property, rural land, and in-town sales. Billy also has a thorough understanding of Lake Wedowee shoreline guidelines.

Before entering the real estate field, Billy operated his family's cattle farm with over 100 head, ran a 4-house chicken farm, and was a partner in founding the Clay County Alabama Cattlerman's Association and operated the Clay County Cattle Auction Barn for many years.

In the spring of 2010, the owner of Emerald Realty decided to pursue other interests and offered the business to Billy and David Mattox, another agent with Emerald. Billy and David bought the assets and listings of Emerald Realty and formed Cheaha Realty Services, LLC.
