Bob Harrington spends his time equally divided between buyers and sellers. When collaborating with buyers, Bob’s goal is to help them locate the perfect property to meet their needs. Bob thinks his most important job is listening to his clients not only in the initial interview but also as they tour prospective properties allowing him to search properties through their eyes. Once the desired property is located, Bob collaborates with other team members to make certain that all aspects of the transaction are completed smoothly.
With sellers, Bob thinks the most important part of the transaction takes place prior to putting the home on the market. First, there is the all-important price report. Finding comparable properties and then explaining how they relate to the seller’s property, allows his clients to price their home fairly and competitively. Next comes the home preparation phase where Bob and his team assist with such things as: painting, repairing, replacing, up-grading, de-cluttering, staging, landscaping etc. Once the home is ready for the market, Bob implements the Eleete marketing plan to gain maximum exposure.
Bob is also the Condominium specialist on the team assisting both condominium buyers and sellers navigate the unique aspects of condominium ownership.
Bob grew up in the Midwest but proudly calls Oregon home today. After graduating from Purdue University, he entered the Army through the ROTC program attaining the rank of Captain and serving overseas tours in Germany and Vietnam. Bob then spent 10 years in Labor/Industrial Relations positions with General Motors and Miller Brewing Co. before his “mid-life crisis” took him to the Virgin Islands where he spent 20 years owning and operating his own Hotel and Restaurant. After being knocked on his butt by a couple of Hurricanes, Bob decided it was time to move on and began career number three as a realtor® in Portland in 1998.
During his leisure time, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, attending theater or symphony performances, reading, hiking and travel. His overseas tours in the military sparked an early interest in exploring other countries and cultures and he has since visited over 35 countries on 4 continents.
