Due to Bob Northern growing up in a real estate family and his early start in the real estate business Bob has been able to have an impressive list of achievements starting at a young age.
Some of his achievements include being the State of Virginia’s youngest Real Estate Salesman obtaining his real estate license at 18 years old. He became the State of Virginia’s youngest Real Estate Broker at 22. He is a CFA (Certified Foreclosure Agent), GRI (Graduate of the Realtors Institute), a CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), an ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), a SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) . Bob is a National Charter Member of this prestigious organization! Bob is the ONLY Realtor Emeritus in Richmond, VA due to his tremendous experience and years in the business.
Bob’s leadership and service to his profession spans decades. He has served as a director of the Richmond Association of Realtors, the Virginia Association of Realtors and the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad. He has served on the Richmond Association of Realtors Grievance and Professional Standards committees for years. He has taught at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, John Tyler Community College and the City of Richmond Distributive Education Department. He has personally handled/managed the sales of over 2000 homes. He was a Class “A” General Contractor and Custom Home Builder for almost 10 years and has qualified as an expert witness due to his building and real estate experience. Bob built some absolutely gorgeous homes ranging in value up to $1,000,000. He has consistently been a Distinguished Achiever with the Richmond Association of Realtors due to his huge sales volume. He was the top new homes salesman for Bowers, Nelms and Fonville (The predecessor of Long & Foster) He was in the top 2% of all Coldwell Banker agents internationally. In addition he was included in “The Top 10” of all Coldwell Banker agents in Virginia for: *Most Listings Sold *Highest Gross Commission Income and *Greatest Number of Closed Revenue Units
Bob was a non-paid Certified Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.) Volunteer with Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad for 9 years. During that period of time, he personally responded to over 2700 emergency calls. He volunteered every Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and was the Thursday Crew Chief which made him and his crew responsible for responding to all 911 calls in his community. One of his achievements that he is most proud of was being honored by 150 of his peers at Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad when he received the “Squad Person of the Year” award.
