Brad Scherer

Mr. Scherer is owner and founder of the Atlantic Western Companies and is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker with 38 years of commercial real estate brokerage, management and finance experience. He has been recognized as a qualified expert on commercial real estate matters in a wide range of judicial venues, including Federal Bankruptcy Court, Federal and State civil courts, and for various municipalities.


From 1980 – 1993 Mr. Scherer served in a variety of senior bank officer positions primarily focused on non-performing asset management including:
•Real Estate Loan Officer for First National Bank in Palm Beach, Florida (now Wells Fargo Bank) and was responsible for the workout of a $65mm troubled construction Loan portfolio;
•Senior Vice President and Workout Division Head for City Federal Savings Bank and the Resolution Trust Corporation responsible for the workout and disposition of a $200mm troubled debt portfolio;
•Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Workouts for Midlantic Bank/PNC Bank ; responsible for the fast-track management and liquidation of a $300mm portfolio of non-performing commercial real estate and loan assets in Florida.

Mr. Scherer holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of Virginia and graduated as a 2nd lieutenant from Culver Military Academy. For more than 40 years, Mr. Scherer played competitive high goal polo, both nationally and internationally, achieving a 5-goal rating outdoors and an 8-goal rating indoors.
