Today, Brad Wilson is a Broker/Partner at Charter One, one of the South Carolina Low Country’s most prolific Real Estate brokerage firms. He serves both the residential and commercial real estate markets for Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, South Carolina. The people at Charter One share that philosophy.” After high school, Brad paid his way through Western Kentucky University selling family Bibles and other spiritual books door to door. “It was a major influence in the decision to make sales my career and direction,” he says. While at WKU, Brad was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and remains active with that organization today. He graduated with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis in Marketing and went to work for the Van F. Belknap Company in Louisville, Kentucky, the world’s largest hardware distributor at the time. In 1978, he moved to Hilton Head Island to begin his real estate career and has been serving his clients and community here ever since. Brad’s close-knit family includes his wife of 32 years, Cheryl, who is an interior designer at Plantation Interiors, the Island’s oldest design firm. Their children, son Bailey and daughter Caroline are both graduates of Hilton Head Island High School. Bailey is following his father’s footsteps into the sales arena. He is presently a manager at Jos. A. Bank in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and is building his business as a Certified Health Coach. Caroline is a student in Charleston pursuing a degree in computer science. Brad gives back to the Island community by recently serving as a Director for Memory Matters, a local not-for-profit center of excellence which improves the quality of life for persons with dementia and their families, providing resources, support, respite and adult day services with compassion and dignity.
