I moved to Florida from Texas in 1996, then eventually to Orlando in 1997. Since then I have attended college, (Valencia & UCF, 2002 Graduate with a Finance degree) met my wife, got married and started our family (son 2013) + (daughter 2016). Life is pretty good!!
I began working in real estate with investing in 1999, and actually obtained my real estate license in 2005. I can officially say I got in just as the market was going down, and survived.... I have helped many clients buy and sell homes, while also helping many more, simply by giving them what I believe to be sound advice on how to start over, or wait it out. This was of course, thanks to the market collapse, (calling it what it was..). I say this to point out, I work in real estate to make money, yes, but also to help people / friends make a wise & educated decision.
Lets face it, for many buying and selling a home can "make or break" a person, couple and sometimes a family. I employ this philosophy, because it allows me to really put a client or a friends, best interest for the short term and long term ahead of all else.
Realistically, you hire a real estate agent for their experience and ability to get the job done, and sometimes you not only fail to get that, you get the agent that is more interested in the sale or quick sale, than the relationship. I strive to work with buyers and sellers who want an agent whom they can rely on and trust for the next 10 to 20 years.
