About Bret

Bret Borshell brings more than three decades of diverse expertise to the world of luxury real estate, blending a background in high-value property transactions, technology, hospitality, and client relations.

Raised in the Lake Tahoe area and shaped by over 20 years in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Bret developed a lifelong appreciation for nature, balance, and presence—qualities that continue to guide his professional philosophy. First licensed in 1992, he worked at two real estate firms before he co-founded and served as Broker of a boutique development firm. These early years provided him with deep experience in sensitive, high-value real estate and development negotiations.

Beyond real estate, Bret expanded his career into technology as co-founder of a telephony software company, where he led international marketing and sales and negotiated launches across the United States, Mexico, and Venezuela. He later brought his leadership skills to luxury hospitality, serving as General Manager of Amangiri in Southern Utah, which was awarded the #1 hotel and #1 spa in North America during his tenure. These experiences refined his ability to build trust, navigate complex contracts, and deliver world-class service to discerning clients and investors alike.

For the past six years, Bret has focused his talents on Florida’s luxury market, specializing in high-end residential sales and development. He has consistently earned Gold, Diamond, and Platinum sales awards, and was recognized among the top two agents statewide at his previous firm. Known for putting his clients’ best interests first—even advising against offers when it wasn’t the right fit—Bret lives by a simple philosophy: his role is to help, not sell.

Outside his professional work, Bret is a commissioned portrait artist, a 1st-degree Black Belt in Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu Karate, and co-founder of Grounding Spot, the world's first mental-fitness club. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington and an MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Most importantly, Bret treasures his role as a devoted father, spending his free time creating meaningful memories with his two children, Talon and Isabella.
