Brett Mitchell

Brett is a member of The Leonard Steinberg Team, which in over two decades ranks consistently as one of the top agent teams in the United States by the Wall Street Journal.

Brett understands the value of relationships, knowledge, and a little fun.

He has earned the trust of working with senior c-level executives across a variety of industries including media, fashion, retail, hospitality and finance for over 18 years. He comes to Compass with a keen understanding of the New York City, Westchester and South Florida luxury markets.

Prior to working in the real estate industry, Brett worked in the fast-paced advertising industry, working at the top publishing houses in the world. Most recently he spent 15 years as the Executive Director at Women's Wear Daily--known as the fashion bible where he helped market hundreds of fashion, retail and beauty brands such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.

Having created or been part of executing years of successful marketing campaigns, Brett brings to his clients an extensive knowledge of marketing expertise in the traditional and digital media space. He has now taken this insight and combined it with the sophisticated resources Compass offers to best help his clients execute their goals.

Some of his deepest passions are rooted in architecture, interior design, music, history and the community of New York City. Having been a partner in a successful restaurant/lounge in lower Manhattan he was able to bring these passions to life. The lounge was consistently voted the top music and cocktail venue in Manhattan. With this excitement, Brett hosted client events with brands ranging from GQ Magazine to the biggest financial institutions. With core belief in being discreet he also established numerous relationships hosting a variety of celebrities and executives.

Born and raised in South Florida, Brett graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a minor in business. He currently lives in Scarsdale New York with his wife Lisa and their two boys Tyler and Dylan.
