Drawn to home and interior design since she was a child, Camelia Castillo’s passion for real estate was born while she was in college and assisted her parents in selling their family home. A licensed Florida REALTOR® since 2014, Camelia and her husband have built a successful company renovating and reselling elegant homes across Tampa Bay, and she is thrilled to now elevate her business to the next level as a partner with the South Tampa office of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Camelia worked in sales from the time she was a young adult, selling mobile phones and car audio. With her vibrant personality and natural skills, she quickly rose to the position of the region’s top sales representative, and even managed her own store. Later working in the health and wellness industry, Camelia was a certified personal trainer and licensed massage therapist and ran her own successful day spa business.
As her family grew, Camelia sold her spa and went into business with her contractor husband flipping homes, working as a REALTOR® and designer while he handles the construction side. With her natural eye for design and love of old-home architecture, Camelia’s expertise includes helping sellers stage and redesign their homes to get top dollar, completely designing new home builds, and guiding investors in purchasing properties. Well-known in the Tampa Bay area for property flips, Camelia and her husband have earned outstanding reputations for their ability to think outside the box and keep on top of market and home trends.
Her extensive design background enables Camelia to see beyond the cosmetics of a home to the deeper layers, envisioning what sellers might look for when purchasing and what the most important aspects are in preparing a property for sale. Gifted in her multi-cultural, personable skills, Camelia, who also speaks Romanian fluently, is effortlessly able to relate closely with customers from various social and economic backgrounds. A doting wife and mother, Camelia lives in Tampa with her husband and their two children. In her leisure time, Camelia enjoys traveling the world with her family, exploring new restaurants around Tampa, biking, exploring the great outdoors, and going to the movies.
