About Candace

Candace Corbie Davis originally hails from the island of Trinidad in the West Indies. Candace first fell in love with New York City in the early 1990s when her modeling career brought her to the city for months at a time. Splitting time between photo shoots in Manhattan and family in Brooklyn, Candace became familiar with New York's diverse neighborhoods and consumed by the energy of the city. After traveling and working around the world, Candace began calling New York and more particularly, Brooklyn, home in 1999. Candace had her first taste of real estate while still in Trinidad where she managed properties owned by her family and owned and operated a popular cocktail lounge. After leaving Trinidad, she continued her real estate career in New York as a legal assistant at a Brooklyn based law firm specializing in residential real estate. In this capacity, Candace assisted with residential real estate closings, performing every responsibility from preparing contracts of sale to reviewing title documentation and inspection reports. Eventually, Candace accepted a position working with a developer client of the law firm adding the negotiation of short sale transactions with lending institutions and real estate sales to her repertoire. Candace's unique knowledge of real estate transactions and comfort with negotiations make her an extremely valuable representative and advocate. In addition to benefiting from her real estate and legal background, sellers and buyers alike benefit from her tenacious work ethic and her access to an extensive network of real estate professionals throughout the City. Besides being her passion, real estate is a family affair for Candace. Candace and her husband, who is a real estate attorney and a broker, live in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn with their two children. When she is not hard at work Candace enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
