I blended my number crunching and personal assistant skills starting my own personal business management firm in 1989. When I was considering retiring from this business, I looked for a new challenge that I could transition nicely.
About this same time I started attending real estate investor club meetings ( I am an investor as well ) and met a team of very successful guys who had quite a few properties they were going to sell in the Phoenix area over the next few years.
I was already a licensed REALTOR® in California, but thought if I got licensed here in Arizona, this might be a great niche for me, working with investors who wish to sell their rentals and flips. I approached my “guys” asking if I get my AZ license would they give me a chance. With a positive response, off I went to class, received the 2nd highest final score in the history of the school, and passed the state test with ease.
Note, my investors already had their team in place and this was asking a lot, but they did give me my first transaction shortly thereafter. This was four years ago. Now this investor team uses me exclusively in the Valley to sell their homes.
Many referrals later, I have built my business on providing all my investors the level of service they would expect. I use my “precise pricing” multi-prong approach to gain maximum sales price with the least amount of days on market (remember, that number crunching background?). “Top-of-mind” communication and transaction follow through is paramount in my business (remember personal assistant skills?)
