Caren was born in California and spent her formative years in Texas. She has lived in Houston, Denver, and St. Louis, relocating with her family to Tampa in 1998. She has 4 grown children, 1 grandbaby, and two dogs. Caren's hobbies include tennis, scuba diving and running. She is an advocate for cancer awareness and research, having lost her mother to ovarian cancer.
