About Carren

Carren Shagley has deep roots in San Francisco. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 1973, and the City has been her home ever since. A lifelong entrepreneur, Carren began her real estate career in 1983 after having run a successful leather goods business for ten years. Drawn to real estate out of a desire to create financial freedom for herself and others, it quickly became her passion, and she has been a top producer since 1988.

She specializes in first-time homebuyers, helping them navigate harsh lending practices while she leverages positive, long-standing relationships to find them off-market gems. As a longtime resident, Carren’s neighborhood expertise is invaluable. She’s lived all over the city, including the Sunset, Russian Hill, Bernal Heights, and Bayview, where she currently lives. She’s deeply involved in her community—she volunteers for a low-income housing non-profit and sits on the board of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center. She’s also president of the housing board and is a tutor at Monroe Elementary School.
