Catherine House, CRE, FRICS, CCIM, has over 30 years of experience in medical real estate helping both investors and physicians. She is Chair of Healthcare Real Estate for SVN, which is a 220+ office (2,000+ advisor) commercial real estate consulting & brokerage firm. As Chair she is responsible for coordinating healthcare related commercial real estate activities across the U.S., focusing on medical/dental buildings throughout the company. In addition, she is the CREW Network Medical Real Estate Co-Chair for 2023-2025. Catherine is particularly known for her experience in the acquisition and disposition of medical buildings and medical condominiums. She is also a frequent industry speaker on the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on healthcare real estate. Catherine earned the prestigious CRE (Councilors of Real Estate) designation, as well as the CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member) conferred upon experts in the commercial and investment real estate industry. Catherine is a FRICS (Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) which is a professional body that accredits professionals within the land, property and construction sectors worldwide, and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. She has been honored with various "Woman of Influence" awards from the San Francisco Business Times, BISNOW, & others.
In 2010, San Francisco Business Times named her one of the “Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area”. Catherine’s career in commercial real estate began in 1993 in London, England where she studied commercial real estate investment, real estate law, and valuation as an undergraduate. She then graduated as a Chartered Surveyor, and worked for CBRE until she was recruited to the U.S. in 2001. Much of her success in the real estate field can be attributed to her early years of training as a Chartered Surveyor, conferred upon commercial real estate leaders with a proven record of success in the field as well as mastery of financial, market, and investment analysis. At SVN she is one of the top producing brokers, ranked in the top 10% of over 2,000 brokers+ nationally every year since she joined.
