First of all, she did many things for me more than as my agent. even after she finished her job, still helped me out in many way. I moved in Hawaii from New York city, the same US but there're differences in every way, especially about process of buying properties. She gave me a great support. My husband and I bought our first home with Cathy. We talked with several Realtors and heard all the horror stories, so we wanted to meet with several before picking THE one. Cathy offered to meet us in person at a coffee shop. She understood that we had a busy schedule and was willing to literally drive all over the island to look at homes. We looked in Kailua, Kaneohe, Mililani, Northshore (no further than Pupukea), and Kapolei. She understood that we weren't interested in Ewa and she avoided that area. She responded to emails, phone calls, and texts quickly. She was always reachable. She understood the housing market well and that good homes sells quickly here. My experience with Cathy was excellent...When my wife and I began looking for a home we decided to use a family friend as our agent...However, it just so happened my wife began looking at different properties on Oahu on a website in which it listed Cathy's number. My wife called Cathy and asked if she could make an appointment to see a home listed on the website. Cathy was out of state, but set up the appointment for us to see the home. At this point we were still going to use our friend as our agent, but once again my wife called Cathy to see if she could show us another home. Cathy met us at the home and upon meeting her she was friendly and seemed very down to earth. After looking at the home with Cathy we decided Cathy was going to be our real estate agent she was very knowledgeable about stuff my wife and I did not even think to ask or look for. How many agents do you know would get down on their knees in a dress to look under the house with you? Cathy Bridges recently helped us purchase a condo in Oahu. It took us a very long time to decide where to purchase. Cathy was extraordinarily patient and good-humored, even when we abandoned one search area entirely and switched to another. The biggest stumbling block was the sale of our house in California, which was delayed by an ineffective agent. Cathy researched the situation and recommended three new California agents for us to interview. The new agent we chose sold our house in six days for more than we were asking. Cathy is clearly willing to go the extra mile for each of her clients, regardless of the size of the transaction. When problems arise, she quickly steps in to fix them. I have bought and sold homes in NYC, NJ and Florida. Prior to moving to Hawaii, I thought NYC was the most competitive and difficult market to navigate, but I was wrong! We recently closed on our home purchase in Kailua, Hawaii and frankly, it would not have have closed WITHOUT Cathy Bridges. I personally know, and have worked with many real estate agents over the course of several transactions in different states, and Cathy is second to none. You would be remiss to try and buy or sell in Hawaii without a high quality agent. The rules are a bit different here, and so is the competition and the process. It was a bit daunting at times, even for someone who has done a number of real estate transactions. Part of what makes Cathy a great agent is incredible market knowledge. Cathy knows which homes are going to go above asking price with multiple offers, and which ones are a bit too high and need to get reduced. I watched her be right on several homes we looked at over the course of a six month period of shopping and looking. Aside from outstanding market knowledge, Cathy also has an extensive network of quality people that can help you, from mortgage lending to renovating, to even finding your wife a hair appointment! Which brings me to the my last comment - Cathy is a genuinely nice and kind person, who looks out for her clients financial and personal interests - even if they don't align with her own. This concept, commonly referred to as integrity is increasingly difficult to find in any business dealings, and Cathy possesses it in spades. I do not believe mere words can express what outstanding service Cathy Bridges provided to me. A local California realtor `found' Cathy and from the moment she met me at the Honolulu hotel until the transaction was complete, 16 mos later, Cathy was always there. She called me frequently to update me on the status of potential properties. When a condo became available, she immediately called me. When I needed a review with the designer, Cathy was there with her IPhone to facilitate a 3000 mile away internet appt. She did the walk thru when the condo was complete, and always kept me updated on what needed to be done and provide her professional advise on some issue. She furthermore found a property mgr for me. Even during the Christmas season, she sent photos of the property, pictures of the appliance warrantees, and the status of a book of important information for renters. What more can I say about a person who spent hours and hours and made it possible for a person 3000 miles away to purchase a retirement home?
