About Charlene

Charlene has been marketing coastal Maine Real Estate since 1986. She had owned and operated her own real estate company until 2002 before teaming up with another company that had a history of strong marketing skills and real estate experience. Working with this partner for 10 years added to her background by improving, strengthening, and rounding out her selling and marketing skill set. In 2013 she went back out on her own and formed Charlene’s Coastal Properties, everyone knew her as just “Charlene”, hence why she named her agency this.

Her educational background included studying finance and accounting in addition to courses in Commercial Real Estate and Property Developments at Harvard University. She is a multi-million dollar top producer with a strong emphasis in the hospitality industry and an impressive portfolio. She has created a niche in the sale of motels in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, having sold over 10 of these properties in the past five years. The prices have ranged from $1M to $6M. Having personally owned and operated businesses in this field gave her “edge”, along with additional insight into the properties and market. The result of this experience is the highest price for properties that she markets and sells.

Although she is aggressive in her real estate and negotiating tactics to receive the best outcome for her clients, she also believes in integrity. She openly shares any concerns that arise and helps guide people to the best possible, and financially sound decisions.

She has lived on the waterfront in Southern Maine since 1983. This gives her a solid understanding of properties located on and near the shore, providing firsthand knowledge, and giving confidence to both sellers and buyers.

She raised two amazing sons who reside and work in this area. They have gone into the medical profession and real estate law and both practice within our communities. Spending time with them is her greatest pastime, whether at the Maine coast, or the Caribbean sailing & surfing.
