Charles Marina established First American Realty in 1988. Charles has devoted his entire career exclusively to Commercial Real Estate. He has represented the RTC, FDIC, Circle K, Tandy Corporation, Nextel, and Denny’s, as well as several Banks and other major corporations.
Charles formerly served as President of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors (GMAR) and chaired numerous committees including the Professional Standards, Legislative, and Grievance Committees, along with numerous Task Forces assignments, (Building Task Force and as the AE Task Force Chairman). Charles was previously named “Realtor of the Year” for Greater McAllen Association of Realtors (GMAR).
On the State level, for the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR): Charles chaired the Realtor Commercial Alliance (RCA) Committee, served as the Region 11 TREPAC Trustee, served as TAR Director, served on the Executive Director search committee task force, as well as the following TAR committees: Legal Review, Political Affairs, Governmental Affairs, Legislative and Budget and Finance. Charles testified before the state legislator on two occasions, first regarding “property rights” issues and secondly on the highly debated “home equity lending” legislation.
On the National level, for National Association of Realtors (NAR): Charles served as a Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) to U. S. Congressman Ruben Hinojosa. Charles has served as (NAR) Director and on the National Realtor Commercial Alliance (RCA) Committee.
Community Service: Charles has served as a BBVA Compass Bank Advisory Director. Charles is the incoming president elect of the McAllen South Rotary Club. In addition to this he serves on several other committees throughout the community.
