Cheryl is a third-generation Bainbridge Islander and her maternal great grandfather worked at the Port Blakely Mill Company at the turn of the century. Her paternal grandparents immigrated from Croatia and her dad started a strawberry farm where she gained her first sales and marketing (and hard labor) experience. Multiple generations of her family have thrived thanks to Bainbridge Island’s excellent schools. After graduating from the University of Washington, she returned to the island and married her high school sweetheart.

In 1995, they traveled all over the West looking for other places to live. Nothing could compare to Bainbridge Island and its proximity to Seattle, the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, the water and most of all, the people!
