Cheryl Shaw

Cheryl was born in Washington DC and is a resident of the city. She has invested in real estate for over 40 years and has been a licensed DMV Realtor for seven-plus years. Prior to her real estate career, she was a nonprofit executive nationally and internationally leading marketing, development, and advocacy programs to support underserved communities. Her passion for urban living and investing in real estate compliments her work ethic and knowledge of Metro DC. She serves all her clients with the best, most informed, and detailed representation in the market.

Her natural nurturing spirit and focus on clear and consistent communication contribute to a smooth process and clearly prove Cheryl as a trusted client advocate. Cheryl works with local developers, finding homes in need of minimal to major repair or full "guts", to representing their brand-new construction projects for sale. She also takes pride in her record of satisfied buyers and sellers in various parts of the city and understands that real estate is an investment that not only affects the family today but also contributes to their financial stability in the future.

Through her real estate practice, she contributes a portion of every transaction to her DC charities of choice Breast Care for Washington DC, The Smith Center for Healing and the Arts, National Coalition of 100 Black Women of Metro DC, and Mary's Place. Cheryl is a proud military brat born in Washington DC and a resident of the city. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor, a mother of two grown children, a grandmother of two and serves as the Economic Empowerment Chair of the NCBWDC and is a member of the Community Advisory Council of the Cancer Support Center in Washington DC.
