Kirkfield is a part of the plantation neighborhood on the Combahee River in the ACE Basin. The Basin is one of the largest undeveloped estuaries on the Atlantic coast and teems with wildlife. It is in a major migratory bird flyway and offers superb hunting, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, photography and many other outdoor activities. Kirkfield is on River Road, a beautiful 9-mile stretch through
