He fell in love with the Ames area and he is a passionate and active member of the Ames and Gilbert Communities assisting with various philanthropic and community events each year. Chris, his wife Lauren, and their two boys, Landry and Carter, reside in Ames.

He is a proud member of the Ames Chamber, MLS Board, Gilbert Soccer Board, and Board Member for the Boys and Girls Club of Story County.
