Chris worked patiently and diligently with us over 9 months to find us our new home and sell our old home. In a low inventory market, he got us the home "we" wanted in a highly coveted neighborhood and street. He sold our old home at the right price for us (not him) in a timely manner. He never pressured us to do anything we did not want to do. He was helpful every step of the way, providing guidance and apprised us of all scenarios during the process. He went above and beyond what he said he would do. We would work with Chris again without any reservations.

Chris is a fantastic realtor; we were very blessed to be able to have him by our side through the stressful home buying process in San Diego. Chris was referred to us by my partner's brother and sister-in-law who used his services a few years earlier in their own home buying process. They recommended him as incredibly professional, pro-active, knowledgeable, and organized, which immediately became very apparent to us as we started working with him. Chris truly does care about all his clients; he often asked us about my partner's brother and sister-in-law and also went above and beyond to understand what we were looking for in our dream home. We were working under a very short escrow period, and he did everything to ensure we knew what we had to do and stayed on top of timelines. He was extremely flexible and always willing to meet us on our schedules, even in the evenings as we were often tied up by work obligations. October 2023 update: We have now worked with Chris and Erin on both the buy side and sell side. They effectively marketed our home for a recent sale and once again proved themselves as top notch. Their attention to detail is amazing. Note that Chris is not simply an agent, but a broker licensed to work independently. This requires additional training, but more importantly, becomes a competitive advantage when negotiating. Thanks again Chris and Erin!

We feel so lucky to have met Chris and Erin. We first met Chris through one of his listings and had a great first impression. He is friendly, knowledgeable and never any sales pressure. Chris presented us with some unique and creative ways of house hunting during the crazy pandemic market. Along the way, Erin was assisting with many details, making sure nothing was overlooked. We were very fortunate to have Chris Howe as the real estate agent for our first home purchase. Chris is a very knowledgeable, patient, experienced, and hard-working agent. He listened carefully to our home preferences and budget, and guided us every step of the way. His recommendations of loan officers enabled us to lock in a great rate at a time of fast-rising mortgage rates. Chris and his wife and colleague Erin assisted us tremendously with estimating the costs of many needed repairs for the property we ended up buying. They went above and beyond contacting and connecting us with quality repair services and suppliers, many of which we are using during our remodeling. Howe Realty deserves 10 stars. Yes, really. Chris's help and guidance during our first-time homebuying process was fantastic. Honestly, we were amazed by the level of service he provided! Absolutely topnotch! We felt in such good hands with his wealth of experience and expertise guiding us. He really knows - and knows thoroughly - what he is doing and was very adept at navigating us through from start to finish. One thing about Chris that I especially appreciated was his patience. Through all kinds of questions and discussions - many of which were either long, late in the evening, or drawn-out - he tirelessly listened, explained, and shared perspectives drawn from his years of experience. I also really appreciated his patience while we were looking at potential homes. He made us feel like if we took a year to find a home he would be there helping us as gladly as on day 1. He wanted above all to help us find the home that was right for us, with our unique parameters, and right for our budget. This wasn't an easy task with the current market and economy, our preferences and tight budget, and our narrow choice of neighborhoods. His feedback and perspectives throughout the process were absolutely invaluable. We very much appreciated his expertise during the inspections and the interest and amount of time he took to help us out during this process and with the ensuing negotiation! That's the thing about Chris and Erin (his wife and colleague): they give above and beyond. And they do it generously. Anyone who’s participated in this market over the last year knows how frustrating it’s been for buyers, with historically low inventory and bidding wars having become the norm. Chris has deep knowledge of the San Diego area and market, followed up quickly on all of our requests day and night, and managed all aspects of the transaction from the initial offer to mutual acceptance to closing and key handoff. Selling our house in Carmel Valley of 10+ years was a hard decision to make. In spite of all our fears, Chris and Erin Howe helped us with so much reassurance and knowledge that we quickly felt at ease entering the market. At our initial meeting several months prior to listing, we toured the house together, where Chris prioritized items (repairs, painting, staging, etc.) that could help with the sale of the home. Chris also came prepared with the recent market data, to provide a rough estimate on where the listing price could be.

Their attention to detail in the days leading up to listing was phenomenal, providing us with extensive market reports, contractor listings, maintaining regular and prompt correspondence both in person and via emails, and just overall doing their absolute best for the clients.

We had an overwhelmingly successful open house, had 20+ offers, and the house sold for many percent over asking. Chris was able to summarize and compare the offers, explain strengths and weaknesses of each, to help us narrow down the best offers. The real amazing thing was how Chris maintained composure and fairness to all parties, with transparency. We must have called him 10 times a day during this time for updates, yet he was always calm and mentally present (though his voice was going out).

Chris and Erin Howe are one of the most ethical, professional, and nice realtors you’ll ever work with. We are more than happy with our months-long experience with them, and would definitely return for future needs. For anyone looking for help with real estate in San Diego, just give them a try!
