Born and raised in Truckee, the son of a firefighter and a local preschool owner, Chris has always felt a strong connection to the community he grew up in.
He now has a passion for communicating and working with clients to find their dream properties. Throughout his high school years, Chris spent his time golfing, swimming, hiking, and working in outdoor industries. In the winters he worked for a local ski shop and spent his summers working first at Coyote Moon and then Martis Camp Golf Course. After high school, Chris attended college at the University of California, Davis, and graduated with a degree in Managerial Economics. He then went to work in Washington DC and later in the SF Bay Area. Although he loved the cities, he quickly found that he truly belonged outdoors in the mountains. Chris left his office jobs to pursue a career with Backroads becoming an active travel guide. Chris led trips across the United States and the Caribbean. He was a guide in Vermont, Hawaii, Yellowstone, and the Tetons, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and then became a Trip Expert in the Deserts of Southern Utah. During his time as a guide, Chris found a passion for biking and loved teaching guests all about the rich natural history of the regions. After traveling for four years Chris decided it was time to trade in his backpack and “put down roots” where he knew he belonged, back in Truckee. Combining his passion for the Truckee Tahoe area, his unique customer service skills, and his education in economics, real estate became the natural progression. Chris is now working with the Tahoe Mountain Realty team eager to spread his love for Truckee and the mountains and help others find their place in this wonderful community.
