Born in London, England, Christopher attended college and received his Higher National Diploma in Building Construction and Quantity Surveying. He worked for a small construction company as managing director before moving to Sacramento in 1983. His primary emphasis focused on reinforcement concrete in high rise buildings. During this time in Sacramento, Christopher worked as a construction superintendent on a housing project in Fair Oaks until 1988. He also obtained his California General Building Contractor License during the time.
In late 1987, Christopher obtained his Real Estate Salesperson License, becoming a full-time real estate agent in 1988. In 1992, he then obtained his California Real Estate Brokers License. Christopher worked as a primary Sales Broker at Christopher Hayhoe Real Estate, servicing several high-profile Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado County new home subdivisions. In 2008 when the housing market slumped, he then obtained the professional designations SRES, and Pre-Foreclosure Certification. In 2012, Christopher joined Coldwell Banker as a Broker Associate.
