Christopher Ritchey

Chris Ritchey is a distinguished luxury real estate agent, renowned for his deep expertise and exceptional service in the Hamptons market.

As one of the founding agents of Compass in 2014, Chris played a pivotal role as a member of the Scholz Team in Manhattan. He was instrumental in repositioning the largest NYC residential deal in 2015, overseeing Blackstone’s acquisition of a $700 million portfolio of 24 buildings, which his team swiftly repositioned to a valuation exceeding $1 billion.

After transitioning full-time to the Hamptons, Chris co-founded The Hovey | Ritchey Team, earning national recognition with rankings in the top 1.5% of more than 1.6 million real estate professionals in the U.S. by The Wall Street Journal for three consecutive years. From 2023–2025, he was a member of The Hudson Advisory Team, the #1 Mega Team in New York. In 2026, Chris partnered with longtime collaborator Cindy Scholz and agent Ash Keyser to form a new team serving both the Hamptons and New York City.

Chris actively competes and trains with Rebecca Robin of Robin Stables at Twin Oaks Farm in Bridgehampton. Chris is also a member of Compass Plus, a nation network of agents that have all earn certification by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA), who are dedicated to serving the senior community with compassion, integrity and professionalism.

Beyond his real estate endeavors, Chris is deeply committed to his community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of H.E.A.R.T. (Humane Equine Aid and Rapid Transport) and served on the Board of Directors of C.T.R.E.E. (Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End) for six years and continues to chair many of their fundraising events. Additionally, he is a committed supporter the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, demonstrating his dedication to making a positive impact in the Hamptons.
