Cindy Laughrea is a real estate professional in West Newton, Massachusetts, where she provides unparalleled service and expertise to clients buying and selling real estate. Her passion for real estate includes nearly twenty years of combined real estate development, sales, and renovation experience in Massachusetts and Florida.
Her professional career is rooted in service excellence, a secret to success she learned early in her career as a leader and organizational trainer at Walt Disney World, a Fortune 100 company renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. For nearly thirteen years, she led teams of employees from the US and across the globe in driving corporate reach and revenue goals for the merchandise division in theme parks.
Cindy and her husband have two grown daughters. When their girls were young, they all had the incredible opportunity to live abroad for five years in London where her girls attended the British school system. As an expat, Cindy was actively involved in the PTA and she served as a Board Member for the Hampstead (ExPat) Women’s Club, which includes more than 200 women in London and the surrounding area. This extraordinary international experience gave Cindy the opportunity to live and work alongside people from all over the world while immersing herself in British culture. Cindy's unique global perspective enhances her ability to make meaningful connections with all of her clients and to understand their individual real estate needs and goals.
After returning stateside and settling in beautiful West Newton, Cindy joined her girls’ school PTA board and became actively involved in the community. She is a Newton Rotarian and an active volunteer with organizations such as the Wily Network (which provides a critical safety net for promising students who are experiencing life challenges); the Newton Community Freedge (which raises awareness of hunger issues in our community), and The Second Step where she worked for nearly a decade in the transitional living program providing support for survivors of domestic violence.
She and her husband have a family real estate development business as well as extensive experience in the renovation of historic properties. Together, they have renovated and restored more than ten historic properties in Florida and Massachusetts including their current Mansard Colonial home. When they are not renovating or restoring beautiful homes, they can be found at car shows, enjoying a game at Fenway, spending time with their dog Charley, or traveling as members of Inspirato, a luxury travel service, which allows them to enjoy international experiences with their family several times a year.
Family, community, service, and expertise are the values that are most important to Cindy, and they are the hallmarks of her approach with every client, which is to deliver an exceptional real estate experience to every client every time.
Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Psychology from UCF (Go Knights!). She is an active member of Realm Global, the Newton Rotary, the Charles River Regional Chamber, the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS®, and The Institute of Luxury Home Marketing.
