About Clare

Clare has been in Northeast Florida since she was 5 months old, other than her college years in Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. After marriage, Clare was back in VA while her husband attended law school. Her real estate career started in 1985 after successful forays into the world of media. She thought she'd really miss the craziness of media work, running around her town, learning the news, helping companies promote themselves and their products, and being part of all the area's happenings. Little did Clare know that a real estate career would offer so many of the same opportunities.

Her slogan, Resourceful/Responsible/Respected, reflects her work ethic. Clare’s goal is to help her customers make the best decisions by sharing her experiences and knowledge with honesty and integrity. She truly loves what she does - it's fun after all these years because almost every day she learns something new. It's never dull, always challenging, and full of variety.

Clare’s company motto is 'Professionals who put YOU first.' Much of her business is either from former customers or from people in the community who refer friends and family to her. With Clare and her team, each transaction is really all about the customer. Knowing that her customers are happy years after the transaction closed -- that's the greatest feeling.

In 2010, Clare had the honor of serving her peers as President of the Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Service. In past years, her professional volunteer activities have included constructing Habitat homes, chairing the Realtors' Association Education Committee, serving on the Grievance Committee and the State of Florida Realtors Board of Directors, editing documents, and serving on many ad hoc committees. Twice she’s been honored by her peers as "Realtor of the Year."

Outside of work, Clare enjoys volunteering, primarily with The Players Championship golf tournament, where she has chaired committees for many years and from which over $8 million annually is funneled back into the community’s charities, arts groups like local museums, children's groups like BEAM (which provides school, food, and clothing items to children in need, among other services), local education foundations, and conservation groups. Clare plays some tennis, loves to walk/run the beach, and finds shark teeth and shells, enjoys pro sports, flying, writing, dining out, traveling, and learning about others' customs and cultures, especially as reflected in architecture.

Clare hopes that if you are interested in learning about the area as you search for a home, you'll contact her. One of her favorite activities is introducing customers to this wonderful area. She doesn't know of more beautiful beaches than Ponte Vedra. On top of that, the area has the wonderful Intracoastal Waterway and the stunning St. Johns River. Jacksonville is truly the River City by the Sea, and what a rich environment that provides.
