With an honors degree in psychology and a distinguished twenty-year career with several, blue-chip retailers in the U.K., Clare Mackness now brings her, valuable expertise and, passion for people to a long-time love of real estate.
Until her recent move to the U.S., Clare was based in Hong Kong as the Head of, Quality for the Fashion division of one of the U.K.’s largest grocery retailers, where she managed a team spread across Asia and a supply base of over seventy-five factories. Several relocations have allowed Clare a firsthand appreciation of the challenges of moving, and a sensitivity to her clients’ journey - especially the ex-pat experience. Connecting clients with the perfect home, be it luxury manse or charming starter, is her primary goal, and thanks to careful listening skills and an acute attention to detail, Clare translates clients’ needs and wants into that ideal nest.
Negotiating prices, handling contracts, and problem-solving play to Clare’s strengths and experience; while her keen sense of humor, authenticity, and outgoing nature ensure that everyone leaves the transaction smiling. Her merchandising experience, penchant for interior design, and love of collaboration prep clients’ homes to perfection, so that they are best foot-forward for marketing. When Clare is not proudly representing Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s Real Estate, she is sharing her love of art and good food with her husband, Ben, two locally-schooled daughters, and loyal dachshund. You can find them snacking at favorite Princeton area haunts like Small World Coffee, Jammin’ Crepes, and The Local Greek, in the galleries of N.Y. and Philly museums, or strolling the beauty of nearby Grounds for Sculpture.
