Claudia Von Asten

Claudia von Asten is a native of Bad Kreuznach, Germany. She studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany and at the Robert Gorden University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Claudia is an astute business professional, who has lived in several international cities, including Aix-en-Provence France, Aberdeen Scotland, Milano Italy, Lyon France, and Ottawa Canada. In SC she has lived in Summerville, Chapin, Isle of Palms and for the past 12 years in I’On in Mt. Pleasant.

Her professional experience is impressive. She has held management positions at a German company, Aldi, where she managed ten retail stores, and, more recently, she was the assistant to the Chief Financial Officer for Behr America. While taking some time off to raise her family, Claudia remained involved and productive. For a number of years, she has been volunteering at Mason Prep, Academic Magnet High School, and volunteering as a literacy tutor and mentor at Memminger Elementary School and Meeting Street Academy.

Claudia is married to Johann von Asten, a native of Belgium, and they have two sons: Maximilian a sophomore in Biomedical Engineering at DUKE and Felix, a freshman at NYU Stern Business School. On the weekend she enjoys the Lowcountry by boat and walking/golf carting her labradoodle in the neighborhood.
