Cordell Porter

Hi my name is Cordell Porter. I was born and raised here in Southern California. I attended Bellflower High School and graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BA and MPA. I have worked in California State Government and have been an entrepreneur in Los Angeles and Orange County for over twenty five years. I have always enjoyed taking classes to improve my knowledge in various subject areas. But, without a doubt the most beneficial class that I have ever taken was in real estate in 1975. From that class I learned what I needed to know about purchasing and selling Southern California real estate. I had very little money when I bought my first home in Long Beach. However, with some rehab, I was able to make a sizable return on my investment in about six months. From there opportunities opened up and before long I had a much larger home and a rental. Through the years real estate has afforded me many financial advantages that I would not have had if I had continued renting instead of purchasing and selling homes. Southern California's climate, beaches, mountains, and deserts make the Southland a wonderful place to live. I believe that is what will continue to have many folks moving here from all over the country. The demand for homes and land will increase in Southern California, continuing to make real estate a great investment.
