They not only have extensive knowledge about the Whidbey Island market but they also have a long list of contacts for anything you might need during the home buying process (mortgage lenders, cleaners, etc). They were also very straightforward about what to expect from this housing market so that we could make a competitive offer on a house that suited our personal needs. They were very responsive and flexible with our schedule. With a market the way it was when we began our home buying adventure, we had to think outside of the box to get into a new home. We moved from McCleary to Oak Harbor and had to sell our house in McCleary before being able to buy one in Oak Harbor. She was our eyes and ears and extremely responsive and helpful. We easily sold our house in McCleary and needed a short-term rental in the Oak Harbor area so we could continue our search in person. Again, Cristie came through. When it came time to buy we had found a house for sale by owner and she helped everyone through the process. She will do whatever she can to help you seal the deal.

First time homebuyers, please come to Cristie and Ciara! They are phenomenal. One of the biggest issues we came across was the fact we were moving cross-country and couldn't do tours of homes in-person. Cristie's coworker, Ciara, was incredible at getting to the homes we were interested in - which Cristie set up almost as soon as we "liked" the home - and went around and took a VERY detailed video of the home. It felt like we were really there.

Cristie also really helped us through the process of buying a home and helping us find what we liked. She didn't mind all the questions we had, instead answering them with such encouragement and resources.

If we ever need another home in the area we are moving to, she'll be our first call!

Cristie walked us through each step along the way, and her videos on the fundamentals of home buying were incredibly helpful. She showed excellent knowledge of the area and what to expect for each prospective property.

With no hesitation or exaggeration, Cristie is the greatest real estate agent of all time. We worked with her during our move from Jacksonville, FL, to Whidbey (i.e. Cross country move). She is incredibly responsive, always has an answer for everything, and helped shepherd us through the challenging VA loan process. In addition, Cristie helped us stay within budget in an incredibly difficult market for buyers. She stayed patient and helped us put in multiple offers, eventually leading to success.

It is important to also acknowledge the fact that Cristie is an incredible community member as well. She helps raise thousands of dollars every year for childhood cancer research. She supports incoming military members and their families to the Whidbey Island area (i.e. a library of 40+ documents ranging from “Best Handyman Services in the Area, to “Outdoor Water Activities,” to “Whidbey School System Explained”).

We were so lucky to find Cristie Arnold as our realtor. After having our first conversation with her where we explained our situation about wanting to buy a house we decided to ask her to be our Realtor. Three months went by before we started to make a move and not once did she try and pull us in before we were ready. During the entire process, she was very patient with us as first-time homebuyers and was available at any time to answer ANY questions that she was capable of answering. She has a treasure trove of valuable information. Her Facebook group has an entire homebuyers guide of power points and links with useful information that we could access at any time for free that made the process so much smoother for us! Having only a few days to spend in Whidbey Island to house hunt in person, Cristie practically cleared her schedule to make time to show us the homes. And during the process, she was never pushy, always patient. Our search didn’t end during that trip and we soon found out that the marketplace in Whidbey Island was very competitive. Cristie was such a hard worker, she always found time in her busy life for us. We were afraid that moving cross-country during the pandemic would be a nearly impossible task. Where to start.
We were first time buyers, knowing nothing about anything. Brand spanking new to the Whidbey Island area and military (horrible time constraints). We needed a house and we needed it ASAP. Cristie came along and wow did we chose the perfect person for this moment in our life. She was there by our side 24/7, I mean non-stop helping us on choosing the right place for the right price. Whenever we hit a road block, Cristie came to the rescue and kept us moving! When we told her which house we wanted she made it her number one priority for us to put a hard to beat offer.
She was basically holding our hand throughout the whole process because we had no idea what we were doing as first time home buyers. She never left us hanging on questions we had and if she didn’t have the answer right away she had plenty of trust worthy resources to get us that answer.
If we were to purchase another house in the future here, 100 percent would have Cristie right by our side. Honestly, you can read tons of reviews of other realtors and I’m sure you will find similar comments about how great they are but there is no one like Cristie who can just make you smile.

When I think of Cristie Arnold I think of the hardest working realtor on Whidbey Island. She goes the extra mile in everything she does. I had my consultation with her in January to sell my house and COVID-19 hit and she was extremely flexible with my situation (military). We met back up in April and she proposed a 360 virtual tour, which she did herself. Her 360 tour and wonderful pictures got my house under contract within 24 hours. During the whole process she was very responsive in every question I had, and kept me up to date on every set with the. If I could pack her up and make her my realtor in VA I wouldn’t hesitate. Cristie is, hands down, the best realtor on Whidbey Island. The market here is extremely fast. Houses fly off the market in as little as a day, and that seems to be the norm. It's unlike any market that we've dealt with in the past.

You need to have a realtor that is on top of the market listings, and knows their stuff, but doesn't push you to settle on something that you don't want, and doesn't push you to spend more than what your budget is (I *HATE* that). Also one that is great at communicating and makes you feel like you're their only client. If this is what you're looking for, then Cristie is the one for you!

Cristie was able to meet us within the hour on new listings, which actually is what got us our house that we closed on less than a month ago. She's nice, personable, knowledgeable, and genuine. She's also very receptive and was able to figure out exactly what we were looking for, even though we weren't sure ourselves. I'm a firm believer that she had our best interest at heart, and I can't say that I've ever had a realtor that even come close to comparing to her, and this is not our first home purchase.
