One of my passions is to help our aging community plan for the future. That is why I became interested in "Aging in Place". I have learned about barrier free environments, universal design and home customization that involves everything from widening doors and hallways to installing lifts and elevators.
Another aspect of helping seniors is talking to them about the importance of a will or a trust. It is super important to make sure that your most valuable possession, your home, is considered in a Living Will or Trust. To better help with this process, I became certified in Probate Real Estate Sales.
What will the real estate landscape will look like when millions of baby boomers will be too fragile to navigate a flight of stairs? Do we stay put and modify the house? Do we sell and buy a single level home while we are still healthy? Do we get a reverse mortgage to keep us where we are?
