Dan Beder

Dan Beder was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA. In 1987, he became a licensed realtor and obtained a provisional appraiser’s license shortly after. Appraising homes for banks provided Dan with a strong background for assessing and pinpointing the value of properties.

Dan specializes in properties in and around Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, and Malibu. He sells homes at all price points, from single bedroom condos to luxury estates, and truly enjoys working with a wide variety of clients with different needs and wants. He also has experience selling new developments and commercial properties.

Dan has been with Sotheby’s International Realty since 2008 and has represented buyers and sellers in landmark sales such as Bob Vila’s Malibu beach house, which aired on the television show This Old House. He sold the Pickfair Estate in Beverly Hills, once owned by movie stars Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford. In 2007, he closed the largest sale in the equestrian Brentwood Sullivan Canyon neighborhood, a double lot ranch property which was the original home of architect Cliff May. Dan also represented the sellers in the record-breaking sale of 944 Airole Way in Bel Air, a four acre, 360-degree view property which is now one of the most expensive homes in America.

Dan values Sotheby’s International Realty’s international presence, as has many international clients and has sold properties in Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood to clients from China and Japan. In 2015, he flew to Tokyo to represent sellers in a record-breaking sale in Roppongi Hills.
Dan lives by the ocean with his wife, two kids, and their dog. Dan truly loves delivering excellent service to his clients whether they are selling or buying their home.
