About Dan
Dan’s mission is to provide the finest real estate services with the utmost honesty and integrity.
His love for real estate and architecture began early in his life. His mother was a broker in Wisconsin when Dan was a teenager and he used to spend time with her checking out homes and helping with photography. Dan remembers his mother baking bread and cookies and making her famous cheesecake for special open houses.
One sale of hers was of particular importance to Dan and looking back it was certainly foreshadowing of things to come. The home was an original Frank Lloyd Wright and Dan loved it from the moment he saw it. As was typical of Wrights designs it had low ceilings, small bedrooms and even smaller closets, but he loved it. She ended up selling it for what is now the cost of a moderately priced car. That deal haunts Dan to this day… what an investment it would have been.
His appreciation for Southern California modernist architecture in particular grew a number of years ago when he lived in the LA area. The designs of Richard Neutra and John Lautner epitomized the modernist movement. It was then that Dan was introduced to the work of Buff & Hensman a prominent local firm whose designs he appreciates to this day and was fortunate enough to bid on (and failed to get) two of their designs. Great design is timeless.
If you’re looking to purchase an existing home for a primary or weekend residence or investment, Dan would love the opportunity to assist you with your selection and purchase. Additionally, here in the Pacific Northwest and on Whidbey Island they are fortunate to have some fantastic architects and design firms. If building your dream home is on the horizon, Dan can help in land/lot searches and purchase and introduce you to local builders and designers and architects.
Dan has been fortunate in his 25 years of corporate work to travel and work in many countries and he’s enjoyed it immensely. Weather you live in Asia, Europe or South America, Dan would love to introduce Whidbey Island to you and show you all the remarkable things the community has to offer.
If you currently own a home or property in the area and are interested in a complimentary price assessment (market analysis), Dan would be happy to assist you. Inventory is low and it’s a great time to list.
