Dan has taken care of us over the years with our first condo purchase in Chicago. Most recently he helped us find a new home and just like the first one; we visited with him and in a matter of days he had many great options to view. He really understood our wish list and of course one of those we viewed was perfect! We could not be happier in our new home.

He is truly hands on from start to finish, even communicating with lenders, inspectors, attorneys, building management, and title people. It is a pleasure to work with Dan - his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism are top notch. He even sold our old condo in about a week in a slow market. We recommend Dan to all our friends!

He is well connected, always looking to build partnerships, and even set me up with a local attorney to set up my LLC to protect my home. I cannot recommend Dan more highly. He was amazing from listing to close. He was strategic when it came to listing and the open house. He looked for ways to save money. When I needed a plumber for an issue before close, he knew who to call. We got strong offers within days of the showings. He went above and beyond for me. Did I mention I'm in California and he's not? Selling your home from 2000 miles away is never easy, but Dan made it easy. Whether you are buying or selling, you can't go wrong with Dan.

In April of 2023, I had the pleasure of working with Dan, and I must say that his thoughtfulness and consideration for my safety throughout the entire process was remarkable. From our initial meeting, he took the time to understand my specific needs and preferences, ensuring that every property we visited adhered to the highest safety standards and appealed to wants (we've all got that list of dream list - amirite!).

He consistently went above and beyond to make me feel
like I was a priority. That I wasn't asking for too much. On more than one occasion he told me something along the lines of - this is a huge invest for YOU. So it needs to be right from the jump. His attention to detail and commitment to my well-being demonstrated a level of care that truly set him apart. During one of my viewings, he was like "this place has too many points of entry and I think it's something you should be mindful of."

I cannot recommend Dan enough for anyone seeking a professional who not only excels in their expertise but also prioritizes their clients' safety and peace of mind.

Dan helped me through two buy/sell transactions. On the sell side, he provided actionable guidance on prepping the properties, pricing the properties, and identifying potential interested buyers. Both properties sold after the first open house at or above asking.

On the buy side, Dan was mindful of the must-haves for a new property and consistently identified potential fits for showings. I never felt like he wasted my time. He was helpful in negotiations and has solid partnerships for inspection, legal, and mortgage support.

Dan is the type of agent you want on your side during the often stressful and always emotional home buying process. You need someone knowledgeable, honest, and willing to have the hard conversations to help you make the best decision. He’s never just trying to make a sale. As corny as it sounds, he truly has your best interests in mind at all times. Always fighting to get you the most bang for your budget, no matter the size. My husband and I have used Dan twice. First to help us find and negotiate a furnished townhome apartment, and a year later to purchase our first Chicago condo. Throughout both, Dan told us what we needed to hear, not what we wanted. He also went to bat for us during negotiations, having the tough confrontations to get us what we needed. His honestly and experience kept us from making an offer we’d regret and he steered us toward a purchase that’s perfect for our needs. We owe it all to Dan and will happily use him for all our future property needs.

Dan is a great realtor, he listened to my wants. and needs and accommodated my viewings based on those. Ive been searching for a place remotely, and he was a tremendous help with planning multiple showings in a day when I was up there to visit. As someone outside of the city and state, I didnt know much about the processes and regulations specific to the region. He was very helpful and informative with it all, and if not, he knew where to get that information. He was also very honest about everything, whether he thought the unit was not worth what it was listed for, when there were questionable aspects to specific buildings, or whether he didnt think the places would work for what I needed. He is also just very knowledgable about specific buildings as well! That helped during my initial search to even narrow down the specific buildings I was interested in. Would definitely recommend.

As someone who was purchasing a new condo from a different state and city all together, the process was daunting and nerve racking to say the least.

Dan used his deep knowledge of the Chicago land area, its neighborhoods, and their buildings for me to start looking right from my couch hundreds of miles away. He also married in his vast real estate skill set to make this whole process as easy and painless as possible. The extra effort he put forth did not go unnoticed as he prepared to use the limited time I had in Chicago to be the most productive as possible. During my short visit Dan was able to show me several condos, all of which checked the boxes off my wants list, and provided several great choices. During my quick trip I was able to make an offer and enter contract on a condo that I love and am happy to call home. His assistance did not stop there. Dan made the whole process from the start to last signature on the closing documents as simple and quick as possible, this all while I was three states over.

Working with Dan Mercurio is like having someone who was your advocate, your real estate expert, and your friend all-in-one. We sold our condo and bought a home with Dan in the same year. He is always responsive, sending out emails and reviewing housing options at the crack of dawn (on a weekend no less!).

Dan Mercurio is an excellent agent, helping us navigate a crazy real estate market both for the sale of our condo and the purchase of a new home. This was the second time we’ve used Dan as our agent for a purchase, but the first time we’ve listed a property for sale. And just like last time, he was exactly what we needed: straightforward and honest, kind and considerate, but always ready and willing to go the extra mile to help us out.

For the sale, he put in the time to help us get the condo ready for going on the market. He tailored the listing to highlight the strengths of the unit and the neighborhood. We were more than thrilled when the unit sold for the asking price.
