Daniel Gonzalez

Daniel is honored to join the team at Island Sotheby's International Realty and is equally grateful to call Maui home. His wife and him have been visiting Maui for ten years and the first time they experienced the surreal beauty of the Island and the incredible people who live there they knew they had to be there. They are divers, paddlers, surfers and lovers of the ocean. They are runners, hikers, campers and gazers of the stars. They have settled into their home in Napili on the west side of Maui and are excited to continue to establish roots within their local community.

He grew up a third generation Coloradan in a suburb of Denver and spent most of his free time in the Rocky Mountains hiking, biking, fishing and playing in the snow. In Daniel’s years after high school, he pursued a culinary career until his graduation from The Metropolitan State University of Denver, after which he began working remote for an analytics company based in London. His wife and him bought their first home in Denver and he will never forget opening the front door for the first time and the feeling of being home.

In 2012, his wife and him, along with their dogs Titus and Phoenix, moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They immersed themselves in the community and found fulfillment in giving back through the humane society and local non-profits. Moving from Denver and living in the amazing playground that is Tahoe continued to open their eyes to the true idea of a work/life balance and they have been in pursuit ever since. Last year Daniel’s wife and him made the decision to pursue this idea on the island of Maui and as they approach their one-year anniversary in this remarkable place they know they are where they belong.

He has been incredibly lucky to work in a wide variety of industries in his life with customer service as a cornerstone in all of them. Daniel believes whole-heartedly in the Golden Rule and strives to treat others as he would like to be treated. He looks forward to contributing his current skill set through past experiences to the Sotheby's sphere as well as strengthening their community ties and giving back to those who need it the most. He is passionate about building relationships, appreciates the stories that make people who they are, and is overjoyed at the opportunity to assist clients in finding their dream home on Maui.
