We started the search for a home while still living almost 2,000 miles away in Florida, and they were always ready to go visit homes and take thorough tour videos for us so we could feel a part of the action and were always super responsive to our questions - which as first-time homebuyers, we had a lot of! Madeline Ackerlund was the best realtor to work with! I was a first time home buyer and had a lot of questions about the process. Before I even knew if buying a home was right for me Madeline and I got coffee and she talked me through everything and answered any questions. After our meeting she connected me with other members of her team for additional questions. A few months later when I was ready to buy she was so excited to help any chance she could. The attention to detail made me feel like I was her only client. In this housing market I needed someone encouraging and knowledgeable which Madeline absolutely was for me. She eventually helped me find my dream condo in the city and helped me through the very stressful process of closing. She was especially helpful when last minute my lender changed my interest rate and when I wasn’t sure if closing was still going to happen she gave me options, support, and reassurance. I found Danielle Dowell through a mutual friend, and cannot overstate how lucky and happy I am to have made the decision to work with her team. After I found myself frustratingly dealing with a sales pitch from another realtor who claimed to "know the market," Danielle completely reset my expectations. Before even seeing our Bucktown condo, during our first conversation she demonstrated a total understanding of 1) the building, 2) the type of buyer we were looking for, 3) the neighborhood, and 4) most importantly, how to price and market the unit. I knew I made the right choice then to work with her. I was admittedly skeptical that we could fetch the price she recommended, but I trusted her judgment. And it paid off, as we sold our unit in roughly 48 hours – at full asking price. Danielle doesn't overpromise, she just confidently delivers. One of the best aspects of working with Jeremy was his keen understanding of what we needed and desired in an apartment. He offered invaluable advice that prompted us to consider important factors we hadn't thought about before as we did not live in such a big city before. I can’t recommend Jeremy from The Dowell Group highly enough. Does it sometimes feel weird to meet a stranger to look at your potential home? Sure. But Jeremy went the extra mile to ensure everything was beyond fabulous and comfortable. He is so warm and friendly. As such I know a good real estate agent when I see one and deal with them on every single transaction for both buyers and sellers. We had come off of a difficult dealing with another listing agent that left us feeling discouraged, frustrated and belittled.
