Darren Conover has assisted us with the purchase of two homes and the sale of one. If you are purchasing a home, Darren's background of flipping houses provides valuable insight into a property's potential problems and investment value. Darren went into many atttics and crawlspaces with us and on several occasions pointed out potential problems that we would have overlooked. Darren was also great about suggesting inexpensive changes that could transform an overlooked house into a more desireable, updated home.
Darren spent a great deal of time with us to make sure we got the best homes for our needs and budget. He is honest and hardworking. We were ready to settle on a house that would have been a bad investment for us. Most agents would have remained silent, closed the deal, and taken the quick commission. Instead Darren encouraged us to keep looking and even dug up some expired listings. As a result, we found an amazing home that was substantially undervalued . He suggested paint colors and several inexpensive changes that have turned it into an amazing home!
I don't think anyone in Charlotte is better at marketing homes. We listed at a time when there was a glut of homes for sale in our neighborhood. Several took a year to sell. Ours sold in a few weeks at a great price.
Darren is an excellent real estate agent and extremely knowledgeable about the housing market.

Darren and Lizette were a dream to work with. We approached them with our desires, our limitations, and even our fears and they walked alongside us through each of those things in our process. They advocated for us, went to bat for us, and made sure that what we were getting was the best house for us. As first time homebuyers, you can only educate yourself so much yet can still feel ignorant to the process. Thankfully, Darren and Lizette made it easy for us to understand, what steps were left, and how we can make the best offers and be the smartest with what we had. Newly retired, we decided to escape the northern winters and relocate to a warmer climate in late 2018. After some preliminary research, SC appeared to be a promising area to investigate. By what was a random process, we connected with Darren Connover of ReMax. At the outset, we were impressed with his knowledge of the marketplace and his genuine interest in understanding our needs, preferences and lifestyle. Darren never appeared motivated by just selling a property. What impressed us most was his interpersonal style. It is an intangible quality that went well beyond a professional relationship. He spent countless hours not only assisting us in evaluating residential options but also educating us about cultural, economic and lifestyle considerations of each option. He also went out of his way to assist us with various matters that were a challenge to negotiate from long distance.

From start to finish our purchase of a new home consumed virtually an entire year. Darren was invariably patient and engaged throughout the process. He and his wife Lizette became true friends.
