About Dave

Dave Auffarth has been in the service industry all of his working life. Starting out in the hospitality field, Dave worked in small local restaurants before progressing into sales and marketing for national industry giants such as Marriott International and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. After working in Orlando, Tampa, Denver, St Louis, Des Moines, Houston and San Francisco, Dave settled in Chicago in 1993.

Shortly after relocating to Chicago, Dave began investing in Chicago real estate. His enthusiasm for the Chicago real estate market became a hobby which has transformed into an incredible real estate career. Dave remembers, “Before the internet, I would wait for the Sunday Tribune Real Estate section to come out so I could start looking for what was new on the market.” After many years of analyzing the real estate market from the outside, Dave decided to join the industry working from the inside.

Within a few months after starting his career in residential brokerage, Dave realized how combining his previous skills in the service industry and sales and marketing made his career decision in real estate a perfect fit. After forming his real estate team, the MyCityHome Group in 2001, Dave and his team skyrocketed to the top of the Chicago real estate industry and have been sought after by all of the top agencies.

As a leader in the Chicago real estate market, Dave has enjoyed working with other top agents and agencies. Dave has been involved with various housing developments in Chicago including, new construction, single family homes, multi-family residences, condominiums and commercial properties. His vast experience has enhanced his ability to service the most discerning clients.
