I can't say enough nice things about Dave! A few months ago I knew *nothing* about buying a house. Dave patiently explained (and re-explained) everything we needed to know about buying our first house. He went above and beyond to help us look for homes when we were living over 600 miles away. From Zoom calls, to sending videos of walk throughs of houses, and weekly check-ins, Dave made us feel supported every step of the process. I recently sold my home, when I contacted the realtor that I've been using for years she informed me that she had retired but insisted on introducing me to Dave Mays, I am older and set in my ways and was very apprehensive about a new realtor. My apprehension was unwarranted, the minute I met Dave I realized why my previous realtor recommended him. I am extremely happy that we had Dave to help us sell our home. Because of work, we had to move to a different state and at the time it wasn't the best time to sell so we ended up renting our home for over 6 years. Long story short, when we were looking to sell the home there were a TON of repairs needed to make the home sell ready. Dave was so helpful and was able to refer qualified licensed professionals for the projects needed in the home. He also would check on the home and respond immediately and go to the home when any issues came up with the repairs. We were so appreciative of this since we were out of state and unable to be there immediately. Most importantly, the constant communication and updates truly made me feel we were in great hands. The entire process could have been a nightmare, but with Dave I felt very comfortable and assured because he stayed on top of everything. He cared about the outcome for us and most importantly made sure we felt comfortable with the entire process. My process did not happen overnight, much time was put in and I was very grateful to have Dave as my realtor. He was very patient and understanding due to me putting my home buying process on hold at the beginning of the pandemic. He kept an open line of communication and once I was ready we got out and searched for homes consistently. Dave is the BEST realtor in the Delaware area hands down! He helped us to sell our old home AND purchase a new one in a matter of months. He is friendly, attentive, and professional. Although I’m sure he had dozens of other clients, he always made us feel like we were a top priority. He is knowledgeable and he helped us find a perfect home to fit our budget—and that was no easy task. We are very picky and he was patient with us, showing us dozens of homes until we found the right one. He then gave us tips on making a strong offer so that we could get the home once we found it.

For the sale of our old home, he was just as helpful. He put us in contact with an AWESOME contractor who was able to do minor repairs and other projects to get our home into tip- top shape before going on the market to sell. He also gave us tips, advice, and an amazing photographer so that we could sell our old home for maximum profit. We had 30 showings in the first weekend and we sold the old home ABOVE asking price in a matter of days. He guided us through every single step of buying and selling to make both processes go as smoothly as possible. Not only is Dave an excellent realtor, he is a genuinely good person and he cares about his clients. His “personal touch” sets him above the rest. Working with Dave Mays at EXP Realty has been an amazingly positive experience. Our last home buying experience before Dave was terrible (first home). However, working with Dave this time around was great. Dave took the time to answer any and all questions during our home buying process. He was also very honest and tactful when it came to us the buyers if we were being too unrealistic when it came to budget or expectations. If we wanted to see a home, he was always prompt and we'll informed of the property beforehand. When it came time to purchase our dream home, he kept us informed daily on the process and even when we hit a few snags along the way, Dave was awesome in explaining what they were or if it was something to be worried about at all. I don't have enough words to describe how satisfied I am of Dave during this home buying experience. I've been around the block twice with Dave Mays! First to sell my home a few years ago and most recently to purchase my new home. Dave is a knowledgeable realtor who is very attentive to each and every one of his clients' needs. Dave makes you feel like you are his only client despite the fact that he has several. Dave is very thorough in explaining every step of the process whether you are selling or buying. Dave was skilled at keeping my anxiety at bay throughout the entire process. Dave will answer every question you have and if he doesn't know the answer he works to get you an accurate answer. Dave Mays is the best agent out there!!! He made the selling process smoother than expected. He gave us tips on what to fix, he selected a wonderful photographer (the pictures turned out excellent) and marketed it well. When fielding offers, he worked with the buyer’s agent to get us the best deal on our home.

Dave is the reason why we are living in our dream home. He was extremely patient with us. Dave always made sure he was available to show us homes that we were interested in. With every home we toured, our must have list grew. He listened, reminded us of our wish list and encouraged us not to settle for anything less. Dave coached us through making a good offer and worked his magic with the seller’s agent to negotiate an awesome purchase price. At the end, we got a house in our desired neighborhood that checked off all of our boxes. Dave went over and beyond to get us our forever home. I recently bought my first home and Dave was a tremendous help in the process. I am very detail oriented about the process of home-buying, and probably ask way more questions than the average buyer.
