Dave McCarthy

Prior to living and working in Southern Delaware, Dave served as an officer for the New York Police Department. During his time in New York, Dave spent weekends in Rehoboth Beach restoring homes and enjoying the welcoming downtown community. Through those projects he discovered a newfound passion for real estate and property preservation and renovation. He eventually left New York and became a full time downtown Rehoboth Beach resident to devote his full attention to his dream. Although he made a drastic career change, Dave’s ultimate goal has remained constant; to make a positive impact on the lives of others and on the region he calls home.

Dave has a unique view on being an agent; he sees it as an opportunity to collaborate with his clients, not only throughout the entire process of buying or selling a home but also throughout any future transactions. Any real estate agent can routinely handle a transaction, but Dave offers much more than that. He believes in building relationships with every client by offering his personal experience and expertise to maximize the potential for a successful and fulfilling transaction. Dave has also been a top producer at Mann & Sons since he joined in 2005.

Dave began by purchasing and renovating investment properties in the area, and from there, his list of business endeavors and service offerings expanded as the needs of his clients began to crystallize. Today, Dave McCarthy Companies is a one-stop-shop offering services in real estate sales, real estate development, new construction and renovation, vacation rentals, property management, asset management, and interior design. In each division of the business Dave and his team strive to build lasting client relationships with strong foundations of trust. The visions of his clients are understood and their dreams are brought to fruition through Dave’s laser focus and willingness to go above and beyond.
