As the principal appraiser and managing member of Coastal Carolina Appraisals, LLC, Bo has a passion for real estate and helping his clients. From property owners and home buyers to lenders, Realtors, and local governments, Bo truly enjoys sharing his expertise and insight with others.
Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, Bo began his career as the Appraiser for Pamlico County where he managed and maintained assessment and valuation data for 18,000 parcels. Moving into the private sector, he received in-depth training and garnered significant experience working for a regional appraisal firm where he developed a strong work ethic and familiarity with the region.
The combination of appraisal experience and property tax expertise has helped him earn his reputation for professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy. Today, Bo specializes in residential appraising and completes independent valuations for various needs, including mortgage lending, divorces, estates, historic designations, and relocations. He has also been appointed as an expert witness in district court.
Bo is also widely recognized for his ability to manage projects large and small, including a number of state-mandated revaluation efforts that reappraised thousands of parcels in Greene, New Hanover, Brunswick, Orange, Onslow, Wayne, and Moore Counties. His company also specializes in assisting local tax departments with their parcel assessments and appeals.
Committed to ongoing education and improvement, Bo continues to seek out professional development opportunities and is an active member of various appraisal industry associations. Today, Bo also serves on the Neuse River Region MLS Board of Directors and is an occasional guest speaker for new Realtor orientations and area real estate office training.
