David Kent began his career as a home builder in 1994. Due to his close connections within the real estate industry, friends and family frequently sought his advice and assistance when buying real estate. This unique background and extensive industry knowledge inspired David to embark on a new path. In 1995, with a real estate license in hand, David and his business partner, W.C. “Cece” Stricklin, launched Charleston’s first exclusive buyer’s agency. Dedicated to representing buyers, this innovative approach quickly gained traction. For 29 years, David and his company have passionately represented home buyers, earning outstanding reviews from their clients.

David has held prominent positions within the real estate community, serving as President of his local and state Association of Realtors. Nationally, he was the Chair of the RPAC Federal Disbursement Trustee in 2021 and currently serves as the Vice President of Region 4, covering South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He is a Golden R Major Investor, President’s Circle member, and RPAC Hall of Fame member.
David has been named Real of the Year by the Charleston Trident and South Carolina Association of Realtors and named the Rotarian of the Year by The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant. David was inducted into the REBAC Hall of Fame for his dedication to Buyer Agency.
In addition to his professional achievements, David is actively involved in his community. He is President of the Rotary Club of Mt Pleasant, serves on the East Cooper Faith Network Board, and is a Charleston County Planning Commission member.
David is married to Minou, a first-grade school teacher, and they have two daughters, Alexandra and Hanna. David enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and traveling in his free time.
