David Peña was born in El Salvador and immigrated to Leesburg, Virginia, at the age of 14 with nothing but grit, determination, and the hope for a better future. With no knowledge of English and limited resources, David took on multiple jobs in the restaurant industry and working in a golf course as maintenance, to help support his himself. He studied English through evening ESL classes and practiced relentlessly during the day, eventually earning his GED and becoming fluent.
It was while waiting tables that David’s life took a pivotal turn, he met a local REALTOR® who saw potential in him and encouraged him to pursue a career in real estate. By age 22, David had earned his real estate license and began his journey in one of the nation’s most competitive markets. Drawing from his early work ethic and desire to help others, David quickly rose to success through relentless commitment, relationship-building, and a passion for educating others.
What sets David apart is his deep-rooted belief in the power of real estate to change lives. As an immigrant who once doubted homeownership would ever be possible for him, David now not only owns property, he’s also an active real estate investor. He believes strongly that real estate is one of the most powerful tools for building generational wealth, especially for individuals and families from underrepresented communities.
His commitment goes beyond sales, David authored a book on building wealth through real estate, where he shares actionable steps, insights, and encouragement based on his own journey. He views each client interaction as an opportunity to empower others with knowledge and confidence, especially first-time buyers who may not see real estate as an accessible path.
To date, David has closed over $50 million in sales, amounting to over 100 transactions and his impact continues to grow. In 2021, he was honored as one of Loudoun’s 40 Under 40, recognizing his influence as a rising business and community leader.
