David Shippey

David was born in Miami, Fl and over the years, he moved from South Florida to as far as St. Petersburg. He has been in the Winter Haven area since 1975 and has never moved out of the state of Florida.

David became involved in real estate part time in 1998 when he started buying rental properties for his own interests. At one point, he had purchased up to 15 rental properties comprised of single-family homes, a duplex, and some quadraplexes. He did his own property management for his rentals and has learned a great deal about real estate and rental properties over the next several years.

In 2004, David decided to move into real estate full time as he was already working in real estate part time for 6 years and enjoyed it very much. His previous career for the prior 26 years was managing technical support centers for large companies as his background is in computers and management.

In 2004, David started working with a mortgage company with loan processing and acquired a strong understanding of how the mortgage loan process works. He got his real estate license in 2005 and moved into full time real estate sales.

David decided to become an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) soon after getting his license which provided him additional training to help buyers.
