Dave was born in Pittsburgh, PA and lived and worked there until he moved to Palm Coast, FL in 2001. He is a CPA and worked in public accounting for six years before becoming the Controller for a large bank in Pittsburgh. After that he became the CFO for a large publicly-held money management firm where he worked until a very early retirement brought him to Palm Coast.
After moving to Palm Coast, he became an avid real estate investor, investing in over twenty commercial and /or investment real estate deals during the go-go years of the fantastic growth of Flagler County and Palm Coast. He became a real estate broker during that time and has owned and operated three different real estate companies up until joining First Coast Sotheby’s International Realty. During the years since becoming a real estate broker, Dave was a Founding Member of the Central Florida Commercial Association of REALTORS` (CFCAR) and it’s first Treasurer. He was a multi-term Director and Treasurer of the Flagler County Association of Realtors(FCAR) and still serves on its Finance Committee. He was also a five year Director and three term Treasurer of the Flagler County Education Foundation (FCEF). Dave enjoys keeping his fingers in local politics, with stints on campaign committees for candidates for County offices. He has served at various times on the Economic Development Committees of Flagler County.
He was recognized in 2011 as “The Flagler County Realtor of the Year” and he is currently pursuing the coveted CCIM Commercial Real Estate designation, having taken and passed all required courses and just needing to complete his portfolio of commercial transactions.
Dave is a member of the National and Florida CCIM Society, as well as the Central Florida Real Estate Investors Society(CFRI). He also belongs to Hammock Dunes Golf Club where he enjoys the engaging oceanfront, golf lifestyle. In addition, Dave loves to fish and shoot and play with his five grandchildren who live in Southeast and Southwest Florida with his daughter’s and son’s families respectively. He and his wife Jean travel the Florida interstates frequently visiting them.
