Debbie Wilhelm is fabulous! This is the second time we have used her (the first was for our home, and the second time was for selling our parent's home). I knew from the first time that Debbie will give you an honest assessment, and then let you decide how your want to proceed (with her suggestions, or sell as is). For the more recent sale, my parent's house, she and her staff project managed the home improvements, which included a remodeled kitchen, painting, some restructure, tearing down sheds to name a few. I could not have done this without her as I lived two hours away. She made me feel like I was her only client. She has a great network of contractors, who I was able to meet and was included in all decisions. She helped us identify some areas of our home that could use some updates, then coordinated all the improvements for us, finding contractors, getting bids and even picking the materials. After working with Debbie on our last home purchase and sales of our previous home, we worked with Debbie recently on buying a new home and selling our current home.

It was a pretty unconventional situation with a lot of last minute urgency and dependencies since it was a bit of an impulsive decision on our end since we found a home that we really wanted.

Debbie provided spot-on advices and detailed help throughout the process of purchasing the new home. During and after the closing, she has been super helpful on providing advice and input on how to fix the home and etc. She works with a set of very solid team that provides good service (Painting / Handyman / Remodeling / Coloring / Movers) and etc.

During the sales of our current home in which we had to make it happen while living in it with a lot of pressure on timing, Debbie was super helpful in helping us scheduling and handling the checklists along the way, and was super proactive in really making it easy for us.

We first met Debbie several years ago when we were investigating selling our home. Although we cautioned her that we were unlikely to proceed with the sale at that time, she still gave us her full attention. We were so impressed with her energy and enthusiasm that we vowed to hire her when the time inevitably came.

Fast forward to this past May. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided it was time to leave the Bay Area as soon as possible, and immediately engaged Debbie and her team. She was, in a word, amazing.

Our house – like many older homes – had numerous “deferred maintenance” issues. Debbie knew exactly what we needed to do – and just as important, what we didn’t need to do – to attract the kind of buyers we were seeking. She acted as a general contractor – or maybe a better analogy would be a symphony conductor – enlisting her stable of talented craftsmen to freshen the landscaping, repair the deck, refinish the flooring, upgrade the master bath and paint every surface, inside and out. Despite our frantic schedule, Debbie took it all in stride, offering calm psychological support as we fretted and second-guessed ourselves.

Everything came together faster than we had hoped – the staging, the websites, the brochure and especially the photography (think drones!). Our home looked fantastic – we hardly recognized the place. Debbie pushed for a lower asking price than we would have chosen ourselves, but in the end we deferred to her experience. Of course, she was right – the house attracted a ton of offers, and Debbie shepherded us expertly through the final negotiations to a selling price 17% above list.

In short, we feel extremely fortunate to have had Debbie on our side. We can’t say enough good things about her, and we give her our highest recommendation.

First, Debbie deserves six stars. Here’s the story why.

My step mom and dad lived in Foster City since 1970 or so. Jackie lived in this house since 1973 and it was original. Dad and Jackie married after Mom passed in 2000 and had 18 years together. When Jackie got sick, my Dad fell and broke his hip. In three months, Jackie passed away and Dad was unable to take care of himself. Did I mention I live in Oklahoma?

In a very short time, I needed to de clutter a house with 40 years of stuff, find 24/7 care for my Dad temporarily and move him to Oklahoma. All the while taking over the financial responsibilities of both estates. Selling the house was a top priority but I needed a lot of help to do it. In comes Debbie.

Initially she both undersold and oversold her capabilities and what to expect. I trusted her with the many changes that were different than she told me initially and I’m glad I did.

Debbie has an incredible network of vendors. She acted as general contractor and we completely remodeled the house. It looked like HGTV when she was finished. The transformation was beyond imagination. She charged nothing extra for this service. It was far more than expected. She more than earned the commission. I would have given her a bonus except I was a trustee.

She suggested pricing low to attract more offers. We sold in two weeks at 25% over list price. She handled the bumps in closing and we closed the week Covid 19 started shutting down the Country.
