DeLisa has been a Marvelous Work and A Wonder in my life. In the very short time that I have known her, she made a memorable impact.

While still in Austin Texas, my realtor for the sale of my house, recommended a realtor here in the Athens/Madison Alabama area. I had began establishing a relationship of trust with this realtor while I still lived in Texas. It was made clear through several conversations with my Texas realtor and I, that I would be coming to the greater Huntsville area with funds ready to move very quickly towards the purchase of a home in this area.

Upon arrival, this realtor only relied on her automated house search software to find me homes to look at. This method only found one at the time. I arrived in town on a Monday, and she expected me to sit and wait until Friday before she would take me out to look at houses.

In the Interim, I met a nice couple from Alaska that had quite different and more positive experiences with their realtor. They recommended that I give their realtor a call - This was DeLisa Locke. I decided to contact DeLisa on the same morning that my realtor sent me an email (Wednesday of that week) asking me to consider canceling our Wednesday appointment and moving it to that Friday, since we only had one house to look at. To my surprise, my realtor had gave me no indication that she had planned to try to find other listings for me to consider.

I called DeLisa and she had concerns about the way I was being treated by my realtor as well. While on the phone with DeLisa, she had secured an appointment for me to view a house within 15 minutes. While viewing this house, neither of us liked the house and we began looking for other listings immediately. Suddenly, through DeLisa’s search, we found a brand new home that had just hit the market! It just so happened to be around the corner and down the street from where we were. DeLisa happened to have a direct connection with the builder’s sales staff. She placed a call and we were able to go there and view the home. Within less than 4 hours of knowing DeLisa, I was suddenly placed in a situation where I had the perfect home being placed on reserve for me to apply for lending without having to worry about any competing offers.

Now, consider this: I came in the middle of her already booked schedule. I had no prior contact with her. Yet, she opened up her schedule and her commitment to me as if we were well established acquaintances. I felt so special. All of my previous frustrations and feelings of disregard which lingered from my prior realtor’s treatment simply melted away. It’s truly magical the way DeLisa did this. I felt as if I was wrapped in a comforting cradle of customer care and respect.

DeLisa made me feel so welcome, supported and comfortable. No matter what large or small issue that may have come up, DeLisa would reassure me every time by saying that she would advocate on my behalf and handle it. And, Handle-It, she did EVERY time. It was the most stress free home purchase that I have ever done; because of the hands-on, caring, kind, knowledgeable, intelligent, insight and efforts of DeLisa. DeLisa had a magical way of anticipating my needs as her client and she never failed my expectations; but rather, she always exceeded them.

DeLisa has been an exceptionally bright example of the good in this community. I could easily discern that she also cared about how I assimilated into this community.

I value, honor and appreciate all of DeLisa’s efforts so much; they have made me feel easy about fitting into my personal place here in my new lovely home. I cannot find words to fully express my gratitude for her and her fabulous team.

THIS is exactly why you need DeLisa and Morris Locke to be your Dynamic Duo who will fight hard for you when you find the perfect home. Closing the Deal is their specialty. Honestly I couldn't believe it when she called me at 10:30 pm to tell me I had gotten the house (several offers were on the table) and YES, they work around the clock - even from Homecoming bleachers and concerts!) They are the best in the biz professionally, but also honest, kind and they really DO care for their clients. Absolute Perfection to work with. Thank you both so much! Simply the best! I met her through a referral at the start of the pandemic. Most Realtors might have been hesitate to go out house hunting during this time but not DeLisa. She never pressured me into selecting a home, she said if it’s not right we’re keep looking. Even after a few disappointments, her and her husband, Morris, continued until I found the perfect home and location. I closed on my house three months ago and I can still call and ask her questions. I really appreciate her and Morris’ dedication to their clients during and after the purchase of our homes.

I am a home inspector and met DeLisa performing inspections for my clients. I was surprised when DeLisa showed up with her clients with pen and pad doing her own inspection as I did mine. DeLisa asked questions, pointed out problems I might have otherwise missed. She is engaged and professional , but most importantly she truly cares about people. My fathered died unexpectedly in February, without a will. She advised me in settling his estate at a time when I was totally overwhelmed. I felt humbled by her kindness, compassion and generosity. I recommend her from the bottom of my heart.

Hands down best realtor you’ll get! DeLisa and her husband, Morris, work together as a team. You’re getting a “twofer” with them! They bring the real estate game to the table with their knowledge of the market- both growing up in Huntsville- in addition to comps - since Morris has been an appraiser for over 20 years. DeLisa has your best interest in hand no matter what your interests or requests are. She bent over backwards for me. She’s definitely your girl and will always be mine. Oh did i mention, we found a house in this crazy market the ONE weekend I was in town and closed in 3 weeks? Couldn’t have ask for a better realtor and now friend! Can’t go wrong here, y’all. Delisa is simply the best realtor out there! She always goes the extra mile for her client. DeLisa is open and honest, which is important when you’re buying a home. It was a pleasure working with her, as a person and as an exceptional realtor. She is the one and only one that I will ever work with again. I will recommend Delisa Locke until the day she retires, and likely even after! If you're looking for a realtor who genuinely cares about you, your family, and your needs/wants, you've found her. She is incredibly knowledgeable with the market in North Alabama, about local lenders, and has dozens and dozens of contacts for every little need that may arise. If you need a repair done before you sell, Delisa knows someone trustworthy. If you need an inspection done on a home, Delisa knows someone trustworthy. Her realty talents are endless. We owe her the moon for all she did for us during the process of selling our home, and buying a new one, in addition to remaining a solid resource for various needs after the fact.
